I have booked and paid for a holiday and now the holiday company say I have to pay a fuel surcharge. Can they do this?
I have been told that I have to pay another £114 for fuel surcharge on a holiday that I have booked and already paid for. I travel in September, how many times can they keep on doing this?
We would need to see the terms of the contract to advise. Does the contract allow the holiday company to charge this additional surcharge? If it doesn't then the holiday company are unilaterally seeking to change the terms of a contract that has already been perfected and in the circumstances you can refuse to pay it. Your best course of action is to ask the holiday company where in the contract they are entitled to raise this additional surcharge before you take any further action.
